Glow Recipe Avocado Ceramide Moisture Barrier Cleanser 4.6 star rating

I would say I am fairly new to jump on the bandwagon of Glow Recipe and by that I mean in the last 12 months.

It was on my list of brands to try and now that I have, zero regrets people.

Shortly after I started using some of their products I wondered if they had a cleanser as I hadn’t come across one yet in their range.

One search on Google later and my discovery of their Avocado Ceramide Moisture Barrier Cleanser came to life.

It wasn’t available here in the UK until recently but my boyfriend bought this for me on his work trip to Texas a few months ago - I literally made him go to Ulta Beauty and Sephora - thanks babe!

Since then I have regularly used it and here’s the lowdown..

Ingredients and texture

Good Molecules Avocado Ceramide Moisture Barrier Cleanser is a milky lotion-to-foam cleanser but I don’t personally feel it’s that foamy - which I love, I don’t like foaming cleansers much.

It’s non drying and non stripping - it doesn’t give you that post-wash- tightness that some cleansers can leave you with.

It feels really nice and soft on the skin and I would say that it’s quite delicate on the skin which anyone with a sensitive skin type may benefit from.

My combination skin is a fan.

Avocado these days is not just for slathering it on some toast with your eggs in the morning, it works wonders to replenish the skin’s barrier.

Some of the key ingredients in this cleanser that really make it work are:

How to use Glow Recipe Avocado Ceramide Moisture Barrier Cleanser

You can use Good Molecules Avocado Ceramide Moisture Barrier Cleanser in both the AM and PM, a small amount goes a long way.

I use it as a second cleanse and I can testify that it takes off every scrap of makeup - and I wear some thick foundation sometimes.

I have mentioned this before but I am not usually a fan of fragrance in skincare products I use and I feel like so far, Glow Recipe is the exception.

They don’t use a lot of fragrance, less than 0.5% in fact and they usually try to create the fragrance from edible ingredients where they can.

Pricing and verdict

It is reasonably priced, it isn’t overly expensive - it sits in the mid range priced department for cleansers at $28/£25.

It’s hydrating and has the ability to strengthen the skin barrier - my skin is loving it at the moment.

The only thing I didn’t like about it, is the packaging.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the color and it’s on theme but the actual tube just gives out too much product.

I open it and the product just comes out excessively without trying.

I’ve figured out the best way to open it is by holding it upwards so the lid is facing up instead of down, but I forget to even do that half the time.

I love that the packaging is recyclable, I just think something needs to be done about that lid because mama does not like to waste product!

Conclusion on Glow Recipe Avocado Ceramide Moisture Barrier Cleanser

Honestly, I really am a fan of Good Molecules Avocado Ceramide Moisture Barrier Cleanser, it does the job it says it will do, it’s created by a great brand, it isn’t too overpriced and the only reason it doesn’t get complete full marks is because of the messy lid situation, putting that aside I would definitely repurchase.
