Allies of Skin Molecular Silk Amino Hydrating Cleanser review

So when black friday came around last year I made sure I snapped up a couple of their products. Here’s what I think of this cleanser.
Pros

Takes make-up off well
Hydrating blend of antioxidants

Price and my verdict
This cleanser retails for £38/$41 for 100ml which is not the cheapest but its not the most expensive on the market.
Allies of Skin in general have such fantastic ingredients in their products and the quality makes the price point worth it.
However, it’s a brand that I don’t buy regularly from because of the price point - as much as I would love to. It does break down the daily gunk and make-up well, leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated post use and doesn’t strip my skin either.
Packaging is okay, it’s one where I will probably cut open to scrape out what can’t be squeezed out.
Allies of Skin Molecular Silk Amino Hydrating Cleanser conclusion
I do like this cleanser, I can’t put my finger on what the smell is but will it stop me from buying this again? Not really, the smell disappears quite quickly.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
The Allies of Skin Molecular Silk Amino Hydrating Cleanser is designed to cleanse the skin without leaving it feeling tight or stripped.
It removes daily buildup like oil, sunscreen and pollution while keeping the skin barrier comfortable. Instead of that squeaky-clean feeling some cleansers give, your skin should feel soft, balanced and hydrated after using it.
-
This cleanser works well for most skin types, but it’s particularly suited to:
Dry or dehydrated skin
Sensitive skin
Normal skin
Combination skin
Because it focuses on hydration and barrier support, it’s especially helpful if foaming cleansers tend to leave your skin feeling tight.
-
Not really. The cleanser produces a very light, soft lather, but it’s not a traditional foaming cleanser.
That’s intentional. Cleansers that foam heavily can sometimes strip the skin, whereas this formula focuses more on gentle cleansing and hydration, which is why it feels softer and less bubbly when you use it.
-
Yes, it’s gentle enough to use twice a day.
Many people like using it at night as part of a double cleanse to remove sunscreen and daily buildup. In the morning, it works well as a light cleanse to refresh the skin without over-washing.
