Byoma - Melting Balm Cleanser 4.6 rating

It is no secret that I am a huge fan of cleansing balms. I love to try different ones, testing them to see how well they remove my make-up and SPF and see if it’s kind to my eyes.

In general, I love using a cleansing balm as my first cleanse, it’s a great way of breaking everything down.

Who is Byoma?

To think that Marc Elrick, the founder of Byoma, started developing this brand in 2020 - in lockdown! That feels like a lifetime ago. I wish I used my time productively to create a skincare brand!

The brand is driven by science and powered by actives creating affordable and accessible skincare products that strengthen the skin and boost the skin’s barrier with their effective formulations.

Price and verdict

£14.99/$14.99 for 60g is very reasonable and affordable to repurchase. I like the packaging, it’s cute and informative, tells you all about the ingredients and when to use it. Brownie points for that.

It broke down my make-up well, definitely great as a first cleanse, it just needed an extra little rub/swipe to get my eye make-up off. It didn’t sting my eyes - even more brownie points! It states that it is fragrance free, however, I can definitely smell something.

It’s a light smell, nothing overpowering and it might be the natural scent from the Grape seed oil - it’s not enough to put me off though!

I would have liked a spatula with it only because if I need more product and I have make-up on my hands, there’s a chance it ends up in the balm.

Byoma Melting Balm Cleanser conclusion

Trying out different cleansing balms is something I enjoy doing. Now that I have used Byoma’s balm, it is one I would repurchase.

It felt comfortable on my skin and left it feeling soft. Bonus points for containing Niacinamide which helps control oiliness - thanks Byoma!
